LETS REUNITE

Bonjour everybody!

It's been a really really long while since I've updated.
Life is good and so busy, so many changes but one thing is for sure- I'm travelling as much as before!
I got to see many places on my wishlist and some surprises in between.
And I'm still eating like no tomorrow, been collecting so many michelin stars and tasted some hits, some misses- my general conclusion is, not every 3 michelin star is for everyone!
And yes my orange collection has been expanding.
Paris is practically 1/4 my home I spend a quarter of a year there now and I'm really excited for summer this year there!
Dearest Daddy got me a invitation to a private museum that I have been dying to go to and I'm really looking forward to it.

I hope everyone is well and happy

RUMOUR HAS IT

I have alot of people asking me if I went back to Singapore recently cos they think they saw me floating around ( I am not a apparition and I don't float)
So yes, I was back in Singapore for a birthday surprise for my Daddy ( I lugged my own luggage to my grandma's house to hide out for a day to time the surprise perfectly and no one, no one knew!! except my dear grandma and mother.)
Yes the flowers on my dress were wilting from the Singapore heat.
Singapore is going to be home again for me....soon!

THE WORLD THROUGH MY EYES

It's been a long time since I've checked in here!Life is still the same- school, and the travelling here there, everywhere! With all the changes that are coming in 2012 I'm really not sure where I fit in the grand scheme of things.Travelling has been fun but at some point you realise it's starting to be like Point A, Point B, catching a few winks on the plane... meeting the people you should..The more I travel the more I realise I'm becoming more and more a travel-weary person- I weave through an airport seamlessly, haul my luggage into my overhead bin effortlessly, I blend into the crowds and never get mistaken for a tourist anywhere I go- even with countries that require a foreign language I speak enough to get around, Im constantly praised by the locals in paris now for my french skills, I know the streets of so many places so well, the places to be seen at, the places to eat at.. I feel at home almost any country I go to.It's a really liberating feeling to realise how much more independent I've become, to realise how unlike alot of my peers I do not feel trapped by my nationality, my gender, by a language,or the lack of exposure in life- it has never bothered me even if I travel alone. But at the same time I'm starting to feel like my life is unfinished-somewhat in bits and pieces everywhere, half built in many places, some left to memory, some still in the process of construction. I have friends that are scattered around the globe, but as it is even with technology it is hard to keep up a real friendship- it's always a touch down, meet up for dinner, the occasional MSN chat and emails. and I have built my life in Vienna pretty much with my own grit and bare hands, but now it is to be torn down again, rebuilt again somewhere else.Alot of places have bits and pieces of me, but when added together, do they become a whole?

AFTER A LONG HIATUS...

Gruess Gott!
How has everyone been doing?
It's been a long time since I've last written in here...
It's been a fun summer travelling as usual and I'll get back to it...soon!
To kick things off, I'm gonna share one of my favourite new items with you!

I specially commissioned this my little pony iphone case and I love it to bits!
It features a Star Song pony on one side and my name on the other.
And the case stands by itself on Star Song's hoofs!
And I'm off to London next week , so see you soon with new finds!

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE
So it was off to the hills to yodel for a weekend!
The gardens are always so pretty in summer!
Had tea with my favourite friend Mozart
Having a cake, or two..or three? At the cafe which was once Constanze Mozart's residence...with her new husband!
The original bosna that I always have! 5 years on it's still the same old lady in a tiny window...
She only sells this ( it's a hotdog with curry powder essentially) and she's very grumpy- the last time I ordered my hotdog with ketchup, then asked for mustard as well after, she refused - if i ordered ketchup, i only get ketchup!
Overdosed on fruit beers at the Stiegl factory...
Decided I was strong enough after so many beers...and huffed and puffed my way pulling a flower cart up a hill!
Went to visit the glass pavillion but I was locked out and couldn't do my Sixteen going on Seventeen dance!
And I became a princess for a day....

MATERIAL QUEEN
PARIS.
In short, it was amazing.
I ate, saw my favourite Renoir and Degas, breathed and lived Fashion Week.
The best 2 weeks I've ever had on a holiday.
Got myself some amazing pret-a-porter,am one of the first people to own the latest H colours, loved 31 Rue Cambon for it's amazing staff and service.
Will blog more about it later, am back in Vienna just for today, and off again tomorrow!
My glitter shoes that took so much effort to acquire!
I'm in love with them..

QUEEN OF ....SHOES?

Today's conversation with Daddy..
" You know, everyone has their own vice. Everyone has something they are willing to splurge on...for me, it just happens to be bags. I wouldn't spend that much on shoes."
" Are you sure?"
"Ya, I don't really spend so much on shoes..."
-silence-
-dawns on me I just splurged on a new pair of shoes-
"So what about your hermes shoes?"
"Oh...yeah.....those...too... "

I'm now hunting down a pair of shoes that I must have but no one is picking up my phone call for order!
Oh well no new shoe, maybe new bag?

p/s: I curse Giuseppe Zannoti- just wore a extra high crystal encrusted heel of his and immediately lost my balance...Jimmy Choo, on the other hand, is extremely comfortable...
